Svadhistana chakra is associated with intimacy (not necessary sexual intimacy), sensuality, sexual energy, sociability and relationships, procreation, confidence, joy, desires and enjoyment of life, creativity.
When it’s out of alignment we may experience physical and emotional issues related to these aspects, like self-doubt, lack of confidence, sexual problems on emotional level as well on physical, lack of creativity, menstrual problems, insecurity, aggressiveness, manipulation that comes from us and to us, guilt and shame.
One of my favorite ways to help balancing energy centers is using aromatherapy. Essential oils work very well on our nervous system by helping us to relax, calm down, ease the breath, bring back good memories (also bad memories, so I suggest to always use the aromas that appeal to you most at certain period of time), create a certain atmosphere, bring us the desires, uplift the mood. They also have specific vibrations from the plants and plant parts they were extracted. In addition I find it very convenient to have with me around in my hand bag and use each time I feel the need for emotional support.

There are number of essential oils that resonate with our Sacral/Svadhistana chakra. These are my favorite: Jasmine, Rose, Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Cardamom, Orange, Clary Sage, Copaiba, Coriander, Clove, Fennel, Geranium.
You will need to have an empty clean glass bottle (I have 15 ml), carrier oil, roller-ball fitments and your oils (I love using mainly YoungLiving), can be only one from the list above, or several, it’s up to your personal preferences.
I always tend to choose my oils intuitively, depending on which emotional state I currently am, my energy state and of course I want the aroma to be pleasing to me, because if I don’t find it attractive I can’t use and relax with it, I want it to create good positive vibration in me. That the way I approach it and find it effective. Here I chose to use Ylang Ylang, Coriander, Patchouli, Orange and Jasmine.
- Ylang Ylang – 7 drops
- Coriander – 3 drops
- Patchouli – 2 drops
- Orange – 2 drops
- Jasmine – 2 drops
- V6 carrier oil mix
Don’t forget to close it with roller-ball fitment and give it a little gentle shake. You can use it as a perfume, carry with you in hand bag to apply whenever you need or feel like, you can use it during meditation on your chakras, during yoga, you can also apply it directly on the locating of the sacral chakra (about 6 fingers below your navel area).
You can use my blend, or create your own by using the essential oils which resonate with Sacral chakra.
